The Rcopia system for e-prescribing can now be used by physicians who use the Apple iPhone. This means that real time access on a mobile browser through WiFi or wireless broadband is possible of the company’s electronic prescribing and medication reconciliation services.
RcopiaMini has been created to allow doctors to access these services on mobile devices. Rcopia Mini is a version of the original Rcopia system made for the smaller screen. There is real time interaction between physicians, health plans and pharmacies due to this application.
Patient insurance eligibility, formulary and patient medication history is checked by the application. Also on offer is a clinical decision support tool for deciding proper dosing levels. THe design or RcopiaMini is such that all staff members can access it and it can be easily configured and accomodate workflow features.
By adding the iPhone and iPod Touch, DrFirst gives physicians a number of e-prescribing platforms including Apple, Treo and HP iPaq handhelds as also desktop and tablet systems. Tcopia is available for MS Windows Mobile for PocketPC and Palm OS giving physicians the ability to create prescriptions without an always on WiFi connection.
