Monster’s iFreeplay headphones are among the models that are using the small size of the iPod Shuffle to their advantage. They are doing this by incorporating a dock for the iPod Shuffle into the headphones.

This works with the second and third generation iPod Shuffles. By connecting directly with the headphones, there are no cords and this makes the iFreeplay similar to a cordless headphone which doesn’t require Bluetooth.

There is more good news. No battery is needed for the headphones since they are powered by the Shuffle. The design is street style and the headphones go around the back of the neck. They cost $50. You do not have to worry about your hairstyle and with a secure fitting behind the ears they are very comfortable.

If you are into gymming these headphones will work great. No cords to worry about. It looks a bit dorky though with the Shuffle sticking out of the earpiece. It is a good idea to get a shuffle that matches the silver colored headphones. The Shuffle fits securely though it is upside down. This means the volume and track navigation buttons are reversed. It takes some getting used to but so do many great ideas.
