There seems to be a flaw in the iPhone that allows unauthorized users gain access. This is the latest in what has developed into an embarrassing sequence of glitches. This flaw allows unauthorized users gain access to private contacts as well as emails even when the iphone is locked. This flaw can be misused only by people who have the device in their hand. Gizmodo disclosed this flaw recently.
In an email Apple spokeswoman Jennifer Bowcock acknowledged the malfunction. She said that Apple was aware of the bug and would deliver a fix in the next software update. When the next software update was likely was not mentioned.
Meanwhile Apple says that it is likely to sell 10 mn 3G iPhones by end 2008. With the new 3G networks, web surfing is to be faster on phones and internet video on phones is feasible.
Since the launch of the new iPhone, though, there have been many reports of dropped calls as well as poor 3G connectivity with few or no bars on the phone’s display. Some cases of 3G phones from other manufacturers working fine when 3G iPhones were not have been reported as well. Other issues have been reported with the 3G iPhone and the iPod has also been plagued with a battery defect.
