Soon, Australian passengers will be able to enjoy the luxury of iPod and iPhone connections onflight. This will happen in Singapore Airlines new A330-300 planes which will start flying from the end of March.
These planes are to replace the Boeing 777 planes which fly from Singapore to Brisbane and Perth and Adelaide. These planes will also ply on Japan routes. These aircraft are worth two hundred million USD. There will be 19 such planes in Singapore airlines soon.
This is a troubled time for the travel and airline industries. The twin engined plane which is being delivered to Singapore Airlines is new, but the model has been in the Sky since the 1990′s. The aircraft are being used by Quantas and Jetstar currently.
However it is a first in that it offers iPod and iPhone connectivity for every passenger in business and economy classes. The iPod is on a new high in cultural popularity, usability and of course in altitude with this latest offering from Singapore Airlines.
