The three main businesses of Apple are doing very well. This is not all. According to Tim Cook, COO, Apple, there is a very good growth potential for these businesses in the future.
According to Cook, among all Apple products, the iPhone has received the highest customer satisfaction ratings. This is an achievement for the iPhone since all Apple products are so high on customer satisfaction.
One question about iPhones was put to rest by Cook. The question was in regard to the million or so iPhones sold but not activated. Cook said that these iPhones had gone into coutries where the iPhone was unavailable.
He said that as the iPhone becomes available in those countries the issue of unlocked iPhones would diminish. He also said that action would be taken against iPhone hackers. He also announced that March 6 will see the release of the iPhone SDK which permits developers to write legitimate software for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Meanwhile, Cook also commented on the iPod Touch saying that while unit sales had increased only marginally by 5 percent, revenues had increased by 17 percent due to higher margins introduced last fall.
