The iPhone has been hacked for quite a while in order to create games for it. People have even used the accelerometer for the purpose of playing by calculating the direction of hardware tilt. Steve D. has developed a new title aimed at the ipod Touch and iPhone called Trism.
This puzzle game is said to be really neat and simple. The game uses the Touchscreen with which the onscreen triangles can be manipulated. You have to use a fair bit of strategy and the direction you tilt the phone decides which way the blocks fall down.
Steve is a enterprise developer who ocassionally has tried his hand at professional games. Previously he has been a ROM hacker and translator. This game is not a web app but a native iPhone one. This app requires a jailbroken iPhone. With the release of the official iPhone SDK, Steve will port the game to it’s framework.
Steve wants this concept on iTunes ASAP. When making this game he aimed at coming out with something radical and new, very different from what had been seen up until now. This game was developed in just 10 days from idea to prototype.
