All iPod Touch/ iPhone maniacs say Hallelujah! The GBA emulator for the iPod Touch and iPhone is here. This GBA emulator riding on a project dubbed Project GpSPhone allows full speed performance of GBA on the iPhone/iTouch.
There are some issues with the compatibility, but most games can be played. Work is still going on in this area. Sound performance features are disabled. You might have to work with manual frameskip. In addition there is still work to be done in the area of GUI and instructions.
I love to play games that I played as a kid and that once got me into trouble. Now that I am on my own these games have a unique attraction. To this end, webapps and emulators have been constantly released by third party developers. These allow us to play the games that we enjoyed as kids.
The emulator can now be easily installed – being included in Installer. This let us do an easy install which even novices can perform. This emulator does now work with all the ROMs. With regular updates, the situation will soon be better, though.
The GBA emulator has big buttons that are easy to hit, which puts it on top of the NES emulator. However you will have to be selective with the GBA ROMs. In addition, the NES emulator goes into landscape mode when you turn the iPhone to its side. This is something the GBA emulator is incapable of.
